Dutch man injures posterior in mooning accident

Jun 4, 1:11 AM (ET)

UTRECHT, Netherlands (AP) - Utrecht police say a 21-year-old Dutch man is recovering after a "mooning" that went horribly wrong.

A police statement says the man and two others had run down a street in Utrecht with their pants pulled down in the back "for a joke."

It says that at one point the 21-year-old "pushed his behind against the window of a restaurant" that broke and resulted in "deep wounds to his derriere."

The statement released Tuesday says police detained the three men after the incident Sunday morning. But the cafe owner decided not to press charges after the men agreed to pay for the broken window.

The injured man was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Glass is a funny thing. My mom fell through a plate-glass table a few months ago and didn't get a single cut. My brother fell while carrying a glass when he was 3 and almost died.

My brother ended up in the emergency room when a glass bottle of shampoo (!) fell and shattered when we were taking a bath and sliced him up. I didn't have a scratch. Glass is indeed a mystery.

wow, glass shampoo bottle, that's all kinds of bad ideas.  I think that was pretty much the first thing that someone said, "hey you know, plastic might work better here"

I called my mom to confirm, I was seven after all, it happened. An internet search on glass shampoo bottles turned up nothing from the 70s. It is an incredible bad idea, but they made 'em back in the day I swear. I believe it was Prell. I do rember that they had a concentrated version that came in a plastic tube, but they had glass too.

EDIT: this commericial may have the glass bottle. Funny too.
