  • Card game based on classic mythology monsters, grouped by mythos (Native American, Greek, Egyptian, Hindi, Revelations, etc.)
  • A game for a large group that can't get a particular subsets together reliably. There is a larger conflict that is resolved through single-session skirmishes that can involve different characters each time. Basically a way to string one-shot together into a larger framework.
  • Everyone plays a character in an epic metal album (like Hammerfall). Not necessarily a real album, you understand, but the kind of character that Hamerfall would sing about. Each adventure is a song, and the campaign is a concept album.

Basically I wanted to write those down before I forgot them.

Pretty Hate Machine

That third idea sounds neat. I like concept albums.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." ~H. R. Mencken.

Level 13

I've been working on variations of the 2nd, though never in a new system - we've just been doing very episodic sorts of games, where the story is wrapped up in 2 sessions or so, and the characters can effectively swap in and out as needed.

It's working okay so far.

Badjuju, Splinterhoof, Plainsrunner, Dedbob, and pretty much any other Juju you can find.
