Hey guys, i ran into this boston based story gaming forum gaming on my nerdnyc forum

it maybe worth joining to meet like-minded MASSholes.

on another note, i played an awesome game at nerdnycs Recess this weekend. Dogs in the Vineyard It feels kinda like Dust Devils, but it has this really cool conflict resolution system that would work awesomely for Castlin's poor dice-rolling ability.  You basically only roll once per scene, and then spend your dice throughout the conflict 'til you or your opponent are out of dice.

Vincent's got a new game coming called Afraid which seems particularly cool.  same system, but it's a horror game, where you create a monster each session and then spend the session trying to beat it before it eats too many victims.

anyway, just thought i'd pop in and throw some cool ideas your way.

Thanks man. I've heard really good things about Dogs in the Vineyard. And I'll have to check out that link from home.

I like your new avatar better than Col. Sanders, I must say.

Good to see you.

it's my avatar on the other nerd forums. for some reason, i never changed it on rollinitiative.  and it wasn't col. sanders.  it was alfred.  from batman.

dogs is so awesome.  worth every penny of the download or the book. can't wait to play again.

and ben lehmen, creater of polaris is living in boston and a prime storygames boston contributor.  he goes to that wed. night thing pretty often (my gaming group are all brown graduates, friend of ben).  if you guys want to play cool story games with cool people, that's the place to meet them.

too bad.  i'm sure it's worth checking out at some point if you ever feel like sacrificing time/money/energy for the sake of playing cool games with cool people.

anyway, when you get a chance, check out the rules for Afraid , the horror adaptation for Dogs.  it's tottally a great co-authorship version of call of cthulu.

it's also a free pdf (but if you do play it, you should shoot Vincent some money for being awesome.)  it's great cuz it has an end-game scenario built into the game.  only takes 5 hours to make characters, make a monster, and get it.

anyway, enjoy.
